China's Shipping Services

Shipping by China Highway: Logistics Bridge Extending to the World's Workshop

China is not only the most populous country in the world, but also the center of global trade. The country, known as the workshop of the world, has a huge production capacity in the field of textiles, electronics, machinery, chemicals and consumer products. Trade volume between Turkey and China exceeded $42 billion in 2023, and this figure continues to increase every year.

However, shipping to Çin-e requires a carefully planned strategy due to the length of the distance (about 10,000 km from Istanbul- to Shanghai-a), the necessity of multimodal transportation, and complex customs processes. Since there is no direct road connection, road transport usually comes into play during the final mile distribution phase. That is, the cargo is first transported to Chinese ports by sea, airline or BTK railway line, then delivered by road to the final destination.

As Fatih Group Logistics, we have been successfully managing this complex route for years. We offer our customers not only - transport-, but also integrated, transparent and flexible logistics solution. Because every shipment you send to China is not just a shipment, it is a critical link in your global supply chain.

China Road Transport Company Fatih Group 's

Fatih Group Logistics is a logistics company that has been operating in the international transportation sector since 2006, based in Ankara and has a branch in Istanbul. We offer three basic modes of transport on the Chinese route:

  1. The sea route: Container transportation from Mersin or Istanbul ports to Shanghai, Ningbo, Guangzhou or Yiwu ports.
  2. The airline: Fast shipping from Istanbul- to Shanghai or Guangzhou- for urgent shipments.
  3. Railway (BTK+China train network): High speed train services from Istanbul- to Yiwu-ya lasting 12-18 days.

After the loads reach Çin- with these methods, we handle the last mile distribution without any problems with our road transport service. The state-of-the-art Mercedes trucks in our own fleet are equipped to meet both standard and refrigerated transport needs.

China applies very strict certification and compliance standards in international trade. In particular, CCC certification is mandatory for electronic products, CIQ approval for foods, and quality test reports for textiles. We guide our customers in this process and minimize the delay in customs.

We also work with our local distribution partners in cities such as Shanghai, Guangzhou, Yiwu and Shenzhen, taking care of the -last mil- pillar without any problems.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. What documents are mandatory when sending cargo to China?

The mandatory basic documents are: commercial invoice, package list, certificate of origin, transport document (Bill of Lading or Air Waybill) and technical certificates (CCC, CIQ, test reports) if the product requires special permission. Especially in electronics and food products, these documents are of critical importance. We guide you in the preparation of all documents.

2. How long does it take to ship by China sea?

From Mersin or Istanbul ports, Shanghai takes an average of 35-45 days. This time may vary depending on the waiting time at transit ports (e.g. Gibraltar or Singapore). We reduce the time to a minimum by preferring direct flights.

3. Is sending to China by BTK railway really advantageous?

Oh, for sure. Especially for regular and large volume shipments, the cost is close to the seaway and the time is 3 times shorter. The carbon footprint is much less. It is an ideal option for shipments to trade centers such as Yiwu.

4. Is it hard to get through Chinese customs?

It's not difficult, but it's extremely detailed. Even a small error in the documentation can delay the process for weeks. In particular, the GTIP code and product conformity documents should be carefully prepared. We speed up the process by working with our experienced local agents at Shanghai and Guangzhou customs.
